Learn bookkeeping and payroll skills in Sage 50, the leading accounting software for small business. This is a very hands-on program where you will post simulated transactions and produce reports for many different industries. You will also learn basic accounting concepts and principles.

 

In just 10 weeks, you will earn how to:

  • Create vendor profiles

  • Post vendor invoices

  • Make vendor payments

  • Track aging payables

  • Create customer profiles

  • Post customer invoices

  • Create employee profiles

Dave Maguire has been a successful marketer, entrepreneur, teacher and trainer for over 25 years. Dave has used Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) in all of his businesses for over 10 years, and has taught computerized accounting at Success College and Maritime Business College.

 

Dave is presently an Instructor at Mount Saint Vincent University and at Nova Scotia Community College. In addition to his BAH and MBA, Dave has obtained a Certificate in Adult Education, and has conducted seminars for ISANS (Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia).  Dave presently teaches Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, and a variety of marketing courses at Mount Saint Vincent University, and is teaching Sage 50 and Computer Applications to a number of Aboriginal communities in Nova Scotia, including Sipekne'katik First Nation, Millbrook First Nation, Annapolis Valley First Nation and Glooscap First Nation.

Prior to teaching and training, Dave was the architect of two successful marketing agencies, and winner of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year Award in 2009.
